Musicians per Capita

It was recently asked to take a look at number of musicians/artists per capita per country. Concern was shown as to the comparison of bands per capita. As it is not a people/people comparison it does not give us an idea of “how productive/metal the people of this country are” just bands. That means there could be a particular country that had a few band crazy musicians. Below you will find data on number of artists in total in the DB as well as a reduction over artists that are “Current” and have appeared on at least 1 Full-length.

From this it seems that artists and bands per capita are roughly congruent, meaning for the most part individuals are not making tons of side projects. I will have to take a look at the number of bands per artist as well next time.
